The examples provided below are not exhaustive. Similar scenarios that are comparable but not included in the examples are also not covered. However we offer some of these services as independent project or project expansion, with sperate service agreements and quotes. For details, you may consult your project manager.
Major Layout Changes; New Page or Elements that Require a New Custom Layout Overhaul
This includes any significant restructuring of your website’s layout, such as redesigning the homepage to have a completely different layout or rearranging the entire site’s navigation structure. It also covers creating a new page or element that requires a unique layout different from the existing design used on the website.
Examples of out-of-scope scenarios:
- Converting a single-column layout to a multi-column layout.
- Changing the position of the sidebar from left to right on all pages.
- Changing fonts style or sizing on multiple or all pages.
- Designing a new landing page with custom graphics and specific layout requirements.
- Adding a custom product page with unique features not present in existing templates.
- Adding a new blurb or call-to-action with a brand new layout not existing on the website before.
Website Not Developed by Alstra or Not Using Compatible CMS, Editor, or Structure
Any website that wasn’t initially developed by Alstra or doesn’t utilize the specified compatible content management systems (CMS), editors, or structures will not be eligible.

- WooCommerce
- Shopify
- WPBakery
For other CMS platforms, please inquire.
Examples of incompatible scenarios:
- Websites built using Joomla or Drupal.
- Custom-built websites using HTML, CSS, and JS with no CMS.
Significant Infrastructure Changes, Out-of-Scope Website Functionality Changes or Non-website Changes, Large-scale Data Migration, Advanced Custom Development that Requires Extensive Software Development
These include technical changes related to the underlying infrastructure that supports your website, rather than its content or design. Any changes to content or functionality that exist outside the main website are not covered. This also includes moving significant amounts of data from one system to another or writing new code to add custom functionalities or features.
Examples of out-of-scope scenarios:
- Changing the domain name of the website or modifying DNS records.
- Altering the hosting environment, such as switching hosting providers or servers.
- Changing third-party software use, such as payment gateways or other SaaS usage.
- Updating content on social media accounts.
- Making changes to other websites you own that are not covered under the Alstra subscription.
- Importing a large database of products from another platform.
- Migrating user accounts and data from a different website.
- Developing a custom plugin or module.
- Adding booking functionality to an existing website.
- Adding an e-commerce shop to an existing website.
- Adding a new e-commerce feature with specific functionalities.
Content Creation, Writing, Production, Additions or Changes to Graphical Design or Video Production
This includes creating large amounts of new content, such as writing new articles or producing large batches of product descriptions. Creating new graphics, altering existing ones, or producing/editing video content is not covered.
Note: Any copywriting materials must be provided by the clients.
Examples of out-of-scope scenarios:
- Writing multiple blog posts per month.
- Creating detailed product descriptions for a new product line.
- Writing new blog posts or articles.
- Crafting product descriptions for e-commerce sites.
- Developing promotional or marketing copy for landing pages.
- Designing a new logo or banner.
- Creating a promotional video or editing an existing one.
